Last days

Michał Kwieciński and Dorota came over today with Jaś- Michał directed a comedy that was showing at a film festival here and was on TVP2 accepting the award for 'most loved director' for it. Last day in Sopot and spent the day sleeping and at Babcia W's. Now I'm eating cheesecake and apple pie and avoiding packing. I have to check everything because of heathrow, even the glass I bought in Murano.

Got back from Italy last night, and will be in Warsaw until tomorrow morning, then back to Sopot for the weekend. Beautiful weather and beautiful people, both here and there. I wish brought home more Italian food, but I kept putting it off, didn't have time, and nonetheless barely made my flight home from Bologna. Luckily Italians have as much respect for schedules as I do. But still, no parmigiano reggiano or Veneto wines. I'll post more when i'm not working from a wireless connection. And Happy Birthday Immanuel and Stefan!

From Venice

Hi. I'm writing from the Architectural Biennale Exhibit in Venice. (www.labiennale.org) Have been making my way through the exhibits since yesterday, and have only seen a quarter of it so far. On my way to the Canadian pavilion now. Bologna was delicious and very chic, and Venice is stunningly beautiful, but a bit of a candyland and very expensive. Staying on on the island of Guidecca, in a hostel, but in a "room with view" of Piazza San Marco across the canal. Living on a steady diet of paninis and saying "scuzzi" a lot. Love Joasia
